Youth Program (Ages 4 - 17)

Registration opens for all summer classes on May 15 for priority enrollment and May 20 for the general public. 

Sokol Explorers will have a 6-week summer session. It will run the weeks of July 8 - August 12. Classes are 45 minutes. Tuition for the 6-week session is $100 and will be a one-time charge prior to the session starting.

Youth (5 -17 yrs) classes for the summer will be drop-in classes. Pre-registration is required and can be done in the event section of the portal or on our Events page. Sign up for any classes that work with your summer schedule! Classes will be available most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from June 10 - August 22. All classes will be 90 minutes and run from 5:30 - 7:00pm. The fee is $20 per class. 

Sokol Explorers (4 - 5 years old; co-ed)

This class teaches basic gymnastics focusing on rolls, inversions, hanging, swinging, and balance. It enhances motor skills development, confidence, coordination, self-awareness and listening skills. Children under 4 years old should participate in at least one session of Tiny Tumblers before enrolling in this course.

Beginner (5 years+; co-ed )

Students will concentrate on mastering fundamental gymnastics skills such as:  forward and backward rolls, handstand, cartwheel, bridge kickover, pullover, and casting. They will gain experience on the floor exercise, balance beam, bars, vault, rings and trampoline with an emphasis on increasing their strength and flexibility. 

Intermediate (6 years+; girls )

Students learn more challenging skills while increasing strength, flexibility, and coordination. Students who have mastered the beginner class skills will be invited to an intermediate class. 

Advanced (Girls)

Students continue to learn progressively more challenging skills on vault, bars, beam and floor. This 90 minute class allows for additional time to build the strength and flexibility required for more advanced skills. Students must have previously participated in a level 2/3 class or be recommended by instructor in order to enroll.

Tween/Teen Tumbling (10 years+)

This is a co-ed, multi-level class for older kids with or without previous gymnastics experience. Emphasis is on tumbling skills, with some work on apparatus. The instructor will tailor the class to each athlete's skill-level by assigning individualized skills and drills that will develop strength and flexibility based on each student's personal goals. Students in this class must have strong listening skills and be able to work independently at times when the instructor is helping other students in class.

Boys Gymnastics (6 years+)

This is a multi-level class for boys with or without previous gymnastics experience. Students will concentrate on learning the foundation skills for floor exercise, side horse, horizontal bar, rings, parallel bars and vault. The instructor will tailor the class to each athlete's skill-level by assigning individualized skills and drills that will develop strength and flexibility based on each student's personal goals. Students in this class must have strong listening skills and be able to work independently at times when the instructor is helping other students in class.

Homeschool Open Gym (4 years+)

Open gym time is a great opportunity for children who are homeschooled. This option is for children who are 4 years and older and want to be active during the day. Open gym begins with a group warm up and and introduction to a new skill or apparatus. Then, participants will be free to explore movement on their own.
