Membership Policy
Sokol Baltimore is a member unit of the American Sokol Organization(ASO). We appreciate the connection and resources that the national association provides it's member unit units. Through ASO we have access to Sokol policies & history from units across the country. Coordination with other member units helps us continue the tradition of a sound mind in a sound body through such events as the national instructor school, youth secondary school scholarships and cultural program grants. As an ASO member unit, the expectation is that our program will be supported by one adult member per household.
Sokol Baltimore Membership is open to all US Citizens and Legal Residents. When you or your dependent is actively enrolled in a regularly scheduled class, you are accepted as a non-voting Associate Member. The membership term runs from January through December. Membership dues, $60 per year, are separate from tuition and other participation fees. You may attend business meetings without voting or holding elected office, serve on committees, except those dealing with financial disbursements or property assets, use the facilities of the Unit, participate in programs of the Unit, Eastern District, and American Sokol; and apply for voting membership. Sokol Baltimore is a non-profit, volunteer administered organization. If you are interested in helping with our Fitness, Educational, Social, or Cultural programs, we would like to hear from you.
